Corpalign Technical Specifications

Corpalign is web service application. It is accessed via a web browser, the data resides in our data base server housed in a premium high security data centre at the ac3.

Operating System

• Win 98, NT, Win 2000, XP
• Internet Explorer 5.0 or better
• MS Office 97 or better

Installation

• Installation files are deployed via the Internet
• All code is digitally signed
• Versions are validated and upgraded at logon
• Corpalign can be launched from a desktop icon or start menu or browser URL

Connection To The Server

• Corpalign is accessed via a web browser
• Client machines should have a minimum bandwidth of 32 kbs
• Dial up connection via a 56kbs modem or better
• Communication between client & server is stateless and asynchronous and can tolerate disconnection

Corpalign Server

• The Corpalign Server is running Win 2000 Pro Server
• The database is SQL 2000
• The middle tier is on a COM+ server, load balanced
• Client data is transferred to/from ActiveX controls in the Browser via an ISAPI filter on the Server 

Concurrent Users

• The Corpalign Server can manage an unlimited number of users concurrently logged on
• The current platform can manage 100 active concurrent users without loss of response times

Network Access To  The Corpalign Servers

• The Corpalign Web and Database Servers are accessed via high speed, high bandwidth communications links (155Mbps STM1 - OPTUS backbone and 100MBps to AARNet over dark fibre)
• Computing platforms, storage facilities and internal networks are interconnected with switched fibre for high quality, high speed communications
• Work is progressing to add both Gigabit network connectivity and a third redundant connection to the Internet
